I used to to literary conventions with about the same amount of success you encountered. A couple of times I had a demo-booth, but mostly I had ill-attended sessions about a variety of literacy topics. The problem there was that there were so many sessions that none were well attended unless the presenter was already well known. It was never worth the financial cost, but it was always fun to see friends there. Still, I quit participating because I generally left exhausted and overwhelmed.

I finished the free audiobook (I love free--on my budget, it's sometimes all I can afford) and left a review on Goodreads and Amazon. Look for my monthly Book Report the first of April.

Yeah, people often assume free stuff isn't good stuff. The folks who had the litter that my black lab Sam came from said that, at first, they were offering the pups free, but no takers. Then they asked for $25, and the baby doggies sold like the proverbial hotcakes.

So, am I automagically opted *in* to the hardcore philosophy section or do I have to subscribe?
